This Rolling Pin Has More than 11,000 Five-Star Reviews on Amazon and Some Shoppers Say It’s “Ingenious”
published NowHave you ever rolled out cookie dough so unevenly that it’s too thick or thin in some spots? And then it ends up baking unevenly, too? Yeah, that stinks. But there’s a simple solution to avoid this — and it costs just $16, which is definitely worthwhile when you consider how many cookies and pie and tart crusts this will be helping.
What is it, you ask? It’s this adjustable rolling pin ! Made from beechwood, it comes with removable, different-sized discs that have measurements etched onto them (1/16-, 1/6-, 1/4-, and 3/8-inch). These discs raise the rolling pin off the countertop by their allotted thickness, ensuring things flatten out evenly.
The rolling pin itself also has measurements in inches and centimeters etched onto its surface, so you can easily roll the dough out into a 12-inch circle or an 8-inch square — or whatever the recipe you’re using calls for.

“OMG! I have been looking for this my whole life! Well … maybe not my WHOLE life but for about the past 5 to 6 years. I make sugar cookies and I like them pretty thick and it is hard to roll them out evenly. This is PERFECT … and I mean PERFECT!! I baked three batches of cut-out sugar cookies in less than an hour and a half!!! No joke!”
“I didn’t think it was possible to feel this way about a rolling pin! I make a LOT of cookies. And the most annoying part of it, to me, is baking my cookies and finding that they’re different thicknesses, or slanted. This solves that problem. Just roll out your dough with the thickness ring of your choice on either end, and that’s it. Make sure that the largest ring on either end is the one you want to use. Like if you want 1/4 inch thick cookies, make sure you remove the 3/8 inch ring. Duh, I know, but that bit of information may actually be helpful to someone. You might want to buy some food grade mineral oil to rub it down with before using. I find that it gave it a nice finish. If you’re used to using a traditional rolling pin (like me) you may find that there’s a tiny learning curve when it comes to using one like this. But I promise, it’s not difficult once you get used to it.”
“I really can’t say enough about this rolling pin! I personally hate working with dough of all kinds, and have always struggled to roll out anything I make to an even thickness. With my traditional rolling pin, I have honestly struggled to even move it correctly with the handles … but I am desperate to make wonderful holiday memories with my kiddo, so I decided to give this a try. It’s amazing! I rolled out and cut a batch of perfect sugar cookies faster than I ever thought possible. There was honestly nothing to it. This rolling pin is deceptively simple to use, and it cleans up and stores easy too. This is perfect for anyone in a hurry, novice bakers, and baking with kiddos. Don’t hesitate!”
