I live in Georgia, where people (including this writer) have strong opinions on how to make and serve the best iced tea. Pretty much everyone here swears by their own certain brand of tea ( Luzianne is the best, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise), and I’ve witnessed polite yet heated debates on whether cold-brewed or hot-brewed iced tea is better. I even know a surprising number of diehard sun tea fans, and I’ve personally been chastised for ordering unsweetened iced tea (the shame!!). The Hiware 35 oz. Carafe is labeled as a water carafe and it is great for infused waters, orange juice, or any other beverage, but it really shines when it comes to making iced tea. Since it’s made from borosilicate glass, it can withstand temps of up to 300 degrees Farenheit, so it’s safe to use for brewing tea with boiling hot water. The borosilicate glass is also much lighter than traditional heat-proof glass pitchers, not to mention much healthier, safer, and tastier than attempting to make iced tea in a plastic pitcher.
