As a child raised on the little single-serving plastic tubs of Italian ice that Costco sold back in the early ‘90s, I’ve been outsourcing my sweets to the warehouse store for longer than I want to think about. But I had still somehow missed that they have an amazing crème brûlée that had disappeared from shelves and has now returned.

According to Costco Hot Finds on TikTok , who spotted the return of this incredible deal to the refrigerated section of her local store, the individual desserts are back and as good as ever — she calls it a “must try” and “freaking amazing.” For $7.99, the package comes with eight individual glass jars full of the creamy dish, plus an accompanying sugar packet for each one — which works out to just a dollar for each serving of dessert plus the cute little dish is reusable. Anyone need a new set of ice cream dishes? Because these seem great.

Each dish holds four ounces of creamy vanilla custard. You pull off the gold foil topping and sprinkle the included sugar over the top before hitting it with a kitchen torch. Just kidding, I don’t have one of those either — you can also stick it under the broiler for just under a minute, and it develops that same burnt sugar topping from which the dish gets its name.

While the package does also offer the option of just sprinkling the sugar on and eating it directly, the cracking of the caramelized sugar layer on crème brûlée is one of those absurdly simple joys in life, the kind of thing that feels ridiculously posh, even when it’s derived from eating a dessert that cost less than $1 from Costco.
