I found my favorite reusable travel cup, which comes from Australia, on Martha’s Vineyard. While sipping a coffee from Rosewater market in Edgartown, MA last summer, I took a (socially distanced) stroll around the delightful family-run shop. Perched above all sorts of well-curated kitchen and home gifts was a rainbow display of Frank Green cups, each color more gorgeous than the next. I never thought I’d find a truly stunning travel mug, but these beauties really got to me and I found myself thinking about the sleek bottles after leaving the market. Eventually, I went back and bought a few.

And, reader, I love my Frank Green cups so, so much. Why? My love runs deeper than the glorious colors available (although, let’s be honest, that helps). With a durable stainless steel exterior and a heat-retaining ceramic lining, the cups are extremely lightweight, but also super effective at keeping their contents piping hot. Their lids are pretty unique — with a push-top that can be easily operated with one hand; clutch for any coffee on-the-go — and actually leak-proof. While tons of travel mugs purport to be so, few deliver on the throw-a-full-cup-of-coffee-into-my-purse test. Frank Green’s are tried and tested and the real deal.

These cups are handleless, allowing one to fit effortlessly in my car’s cup holder. And they come in three sizes — 6-, 12-, and 16-ounces. Each size is comfortable to hold (read: won’t burn your hands) and drink from, maintaining that “cozy cup of joe” drinking experience that I find often gets lost with bigger canteens. (Note: Frank Green also makes “ bottles ” that come in 20- and 34-ounce sizes.)

The beautiful, thoughtful details with these cups is that they all have the same size and style lid. So, if you have multiple Frank Green cups, you can mix and match, depending on what you have clean and at the ready to grab — or what color scheme you vibe with that day. On the website, you can even customize the base, lid, and push button colors for a uniquely-yours design.

I have the yellow 12-ounce cup (which doesn’t seem to be available online anymore) and the coral 16-ounce and, often, rock the yellow-bottom-coral-top combo (and vice versa). If I had to pick one cup to use every day, it would be (and is) the 12-ounce guy. When I finish my morning coffee, I give it a rinse, fill it up with water, and it becomes an awesome toddler cup. My 2-year old loves pushing the plunger-top, and the small drinking opening is perfect for preventing (or, mitigating) spills.

Do you have a coffee cup you love just as much? Tell us about it in the comments!
