Mix flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, spices and fine salt. Add pecans or walnuts, and cubed butter.

Pinch the butter until no floury bits remain, then rake in oats. Freeze this mixture while you prepare the apples.

Mix flour, sugar, salt and spices in a cast-iron skillet.

Top with cubed apples, and add lemon juice and sugar to taste.
