Whether it’s a small, intimate celebration with my family at home or a gathering with the extended family, my favorite way to kick off Christmas morning is with an extra-special breakfast. And since I’d much rather enjoy my time with my family than spend it in the kitchen (those presents won’t unwrap themselves!), I make a point to stick with a breakfast that can be cooked through (or at least totally prepped) the day before. That way, all that’s left to do on Christmas morning is warm everything up and make a pot of coffee.

From cinnamon rolls and coffee cake to egg bakes and extra-special oatmeal, here are well over 50 different make-ahead breakfasts — perfect for Christmas morning celebrations.

Muffins, Scones, and Quick Bread

The beauty of these breakfast baked goods is that they all keep well for days. And if you really want to get a head start, most can even be stashed in the freezer.
