KitchenAid Just Announced the 2021 Color of the Year — And It’s Absolutely Stunning
published about 1 hour agoA good stand mixer is indispensable. It’s what we rely on to make cookies and cakes, whip together mounds of buttercream frosting , knead sticky bread dough, and beat egg whites and sugar to stiff peaks for meringues . They’re the ideal (splurge-y!) gift, too: Give someone a stand mixer and you’ll see a smile so wide it’ll knock your, um, apron off.
Our favorite stand mixers are, hands-down, from KitchenAid . They’re incredibly powerful, last for years and years, and come in an array of stunning shades.
In fact, we’re not sure what’s more impressive: how well these machines work, or the gorgeous colors the company mixes up year after year. (Pun intended!) Of course, KitchenAid’s 2021 Color of the Year is as pretty as we expected. In fact, we’re super sweet on it. (Hint, hint!) Ready to meet the brands newest color? Say hello to Honey .
Honey looks like its namesake, with a golden-orange body and stainless steel finishes. This new color “radiates positivity and warmth,” the company says. And we agree: Honey will absolutely add a bit of sweetness to your kitchen.

“For KitchenAid, it has become increasingly evident that the warmth of humanity is paramount,” Jon Bellante, KitchenAid global marketing director, said in a company press release. “Honey isn’t just a product we use in recipes around the globe; it’s an invitation to connect and a reminder of the joy that comes from collaboration. Through the color Honey, KitchenAid offers everyone a new way to bond over making while bringing an extra touch of warmth directly to their countertops.”
