You guys! On Saturday, as in two days from now, I’ll be going to my first official social gathering since March 2020. While I’m definitely a little worried that I won’t remember how to interact IRL with friends and loved ones (what do I do with my arms?), I have zero concerns over what I’ll bring. Because I have my new go-to hostess gift that I’m going to rely on all summer long and even through the holiday season. What is it, you ask? This brilliant Goverre Charcuterie Board , which makes building an at-home meat-and-cheese platter as easy as following a paint-by-number.

Shannon did a quick search on Pinterest for charcuterie board inspiration and became overwhelmed. “I love the way a charcuterie board classes up even the most casual of get-togethers, but putting one together that looked beautiful created anxiety for me. I found myself staring at this blank board and not knowing where to begin,” Shannon says.
While the friends struggled to figure out where the olives should go and where the nuts should live, they talked about how much easier it would be if every item had its own place. “Like any recipe, I love having something simple and easy to follow — especially when the result is delicious and beautiful,” Regan says. The women are already entrepreneurs (they’re the founders of Goverre , which makes wine glasses with silicone sleeves), so they took matters into their hands: They came up with a dishwasher-safe board, complete with easy-to-fill sections that act as guides. Party hosts just have to fill the sections with whatever they have on hand. Almonds here, crackers there, cubes of cheese there … it really makes things that simple!
The board just came out and, honestly, when I first saw it, I was mad that I didn’t think of it sooner! It has guides that divide the board into sections. It doesn’t look like much at first, but once it’s all filled in, the board becomes a plentiful, well-laid-out treat. I love the idea and I also think it makes for a sweet hostess gift. (For my favorite hosts, maybe I’ll even load it up and present a finished board!) Who couldn’t use some help Martha Stewart-ing up a nice spread?
While it’s great for meat and cheese (which has me loving it for the holiday season), it can also be used with candy, s’mores fixins, fruit, waffle toppings, and more. My point: Even if you’re shopping for a friend who somehow doesn’t love cheese, they’ll still be able to put it to good use.
