After about five minutes, you will start to see some browning on the bottom. Your kitchen should smell like buttered popcorn.

Transfer the browned butter to a heatproof bowl. Stir in a tablespoon of finely grated garlic.

Add hot sauce (preferably Frank’s RedHot), brown sugar, white vinegar, salt and pepper, and whisk.
