Gordon Ramsay Feels the Heat as TikToker Burns His Grilled Cheese Recipe
published about 6 hours agoGordon Ramsay knows a thing or two about food. From his iconic recipes, such as his signature beef Wellington , to his countless cookbooks and cooking show appearances, Ramsay has built a legacy in the kitchen. But according to TikTok account @dishedit , the Michelin-starred chef could use some more practice in making a grilled cheese sandwich.
On Sunday, Gordon Ramsay shared a reaction video where he defended an old grilled cheese recipe — or as @ dishedit put it, a “whatever you call it” — that he made while traveling to Tasmania. @dishedit’s original video came at Ramsay for everything from the chef’s choice of cheeses to his bread slicing technique.
Ramsay wisely doesn’t stand by his choices in his response video and instead, attributes the failed recipe to a lack of access to tools and ingredients. “That’s all we had in Tasmania, thick slices of bread!” and “They didn’t have grills in Tasmania,” replied Ramsay in the stitched video.
The chef remained a good sport as he responded to the critiques throughout the video and even tipped his chef’s hat to @dishedit’s version of the recipe saying, “I’ll tell you what, that looks good.” The chef can dish it, but he can also take it.
Catching wind of Gordon’s reaction video, the @dishedit account responded by posting a short, 3-second video focusing on a stove in the background of his original video with the caption, “I could be wrong but this looks an awful lot like a stove.”
This plot is thicker than Ramsay’s bread slices.
