Frozen shrimp are a staple in my house, which is why I was so excited to hear about this recipe for spicy, garlicky sautéed shrimp in cream sauce from The Cookie Rookie. With garlic, white wine, and a bit of Parmesan, these shrimp feel like a fancy, special-occasion treat, but they’re quick enough to go from fridge to table in under 10 minutes.

Using time-saving ingredients like garlic paste, chili pepper paste, and dried parsley, this spicy shrimp is an extremely fast meal to cook. All you have to do is add the garlic paste and pepper paste to a hot skillet with melted butter, then toss in the shrimp. Shrimp cooks very quickly, so in two or three minutes you’re ready to deglaze the pan with some lemon juice and white wine. It sounds delicious enough to eat right at that point! But the addition of some heavy cream and Parmesan makes the dish extra delicious and comforting.

These buttery, garlicky shrimp are fantastic on their own as a light appetizer, but they also make a delicious main course. The sauce is so rich and creamy, all you have to do is toss some pasta in the pot, and you have spicy shrimp pasta in a creamy garlic sauce. You can boil the pasta while the shrimp cook, so making this as an entrée doesn’t even add to the cooking time.
