This Simple $7 Amazon Find Makes My Candles Last Hours Longer

As you probably know, we are obsessed with candles . We’ve written about everything from which candles to buy for your personal design aesthetic to what scents work best for your zodiac sign, and even DIY hacks to recreate the hottest trends . And while we always make sure to let you know about cool new releases and brands, sometimes the biggest game-changers are more functional than flashy. I stumbled upon this simple-yet-effective product by chance. I have a serious scented candle habit , but rather than buy them in jars, I get more bang for my buck with votive refills (which also create less waste — a major plus). When I want to add some visual and olfactory ambiance to my decor scheme, I put the lit candles in Mason jars and scatter them around the apartment or on the patio, giving my space instant boho-chic vibes. But once the wick is done burning, I’m always frustrated with how much unmelted wax (which I paid for but didn’t get to enjoy!) is left over. I never stopped to think about why my candles didn’t burn evenly in Mason jars.
