A Zoom Discussion of Anthony Bourdain’s Irreverent Travels
The writer’s assistant, Laurie Woolever, will discuss their travel book with The New Yorker writer Helen Rosner.
Laurie Woolever, a writer who was the assistant to the peripatetic writer and television personality Anthony Bourdain, has assembled an offbeat yet practical travel guide that the two of them started working on not long before he died in 2018 . She soldiered on to assemble the new book, “World Travel: An Irreverent Guide,” based on Mr. Bourdain’s writings and experiences in more than 40 countries. His observations cover the irreverent descriptor with wit to spare, hers touch on practicalities, though you’d never mistake this for Fodor. To better understand it and reminisce about Mr. Bourdain there will be a Zoom discussion of the book with Ms. Woolever and The New Yorker writer Helen Rosner, held by the Museum of Food and Drink.
